Dee-Dee Bailey faces losing everything after making huge mistake in Coronation Street
Members of the Bailey family are under huge stress.
ED Bailey’s gambling addiction has turned his whole world upside down but things could get worse for his daughter Dee-Dee.
Coming up in Coronation Street, the solicitor is left in a panic after making a huge mistake to help her father. How will she cope?
ITV viewers were left worried for Ed Bailey (portrayed by Trevor Michael Georges) after the builder’s yard caught fire in recent scenes of the long-running soap.
Ed’s gambling addiction has been causing trouble in his life for several weeks which has led his son Michael (Ryan Russell) to speculate he may have been trying to get insurance money by setting his yard on fire.
During a recent trip to the cobbles, Michael told his absent mother Aggie Bailey about everything that had happened during her absence, which led to the end of her marriage with Ed.
The builder then confessed to both of his children, Michael and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that he purposefully chose to ignore the fire that had broken out at the builder’s yard as he just wanted it to be gone.
Dee-Dee was furious with her father but she agreed to keep everything a secret and next week, she even chooses to help him regardless of how frustrating his actions may have been.
Coming up, Dee-Dee tells Ed to make a list of everything that was destroyed in the fire for the insurance company.
Unfortunately for the Baileys, Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) gets involved and brings more trouble to their family.
Damon advises Ed to submit an inflated claim but the builder won’t hear of it.
However when Ed goes to the bar, Damon grabs the form for him.
In later scenes, Dee-Dee tears a strip off Damon for lying on Ed’s insurance forms.
But when Damon alludes to the fact she too has put her neck on the line for her Dad, Dee-Dee’s worried.
Could Damon cause more harm to the Baileys?
While this remains to be seen and likely, Dee-Dee faces another huge obstacle next week as her new boyfriend Joel Deering (Callum Lill) is hiding a huge secret.
When Dee-Dee complains that she’s snowed under with work, Joel offers to meet a new client on her behalf and pass on notes.
Joel meets up with Dee-Dee’s client in the Bistro but they’re interrupted by the arrival of Emily who’s clearly angry.
In a panic, Joel steers Emily out, determined to not cause a scene.
Unfortunately for Joel, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) watches, intrigued, wondering who this woman is.
What will she do?
Will Dee-Dee be informed?
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
