Twins Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) will finally discover they have another sibling in Coronation Street.
A few months ago, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) went on a mission to find her third child. When he was born, she named him Zodiac (or Zac) but shortly after his adoption, he had his name changed to Christopher Green.
After a lot of searching, Bernie met a man called Kit (Jacob Roberts), who also works as a police officer. She revealed their connection but Kit didn’t believe her and told her to leave his house.
Eventually, after Kit had Bernie arrested just to access her files, he confirmed that she was right about their relationship.
However, at the time, he didn’t want anything to do with her.
After Kit helped Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul – who has motor neurone disease – at the hospital carpark, upcoming episodes will see him try and help Gemma after she is arrested too.
Despite his previous comments, it seems Kit is ready to get to know his new siblings – it’s just a shame the same cannot be said when it comes to listening and respecting his biological mother.
Next week, Bernie waits for Kit in the Rovers, ready to discuss how they tell Gemma and Paul they have a brother.
The problem? Bernie remains unaware Kit is actually at the flat breaking the news to the twins.
In the aftermath of this massive revelation, Bernie confides in Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) about the difficulties she’s having with Paul and Gemma as she tries to get her family together.
As Bernie, Gemma and Paul all deal with their own struggles following Kit’s arrival, will things ever be the same for this family?
If Gemma and Paul start to connect with Kit but distance themselves from Bernie as a result of the secret keeping, where will this leave her?
