Following paedophile Nathan, three more villains return to Coronation Street – including a killer and terrorist

A number of Coronation Street residents are in for huge surprises next week as three more villains make a return, just days after Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) headed back to the cobbles.

Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) realised Nathan – the man who abused her – had been released from prison after spotting him on a video at a police reconstruction of Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) last known movements.

Bethany wasted no time in accusing Nathan of being involved in Lauren’s murder, and even went as far as stealing his account details for O-Vidz to find him messaging young women.

Away from Nathan Curtis, let’s discuss the other evil faces planning on haunting Corrie characters in upcoming episodes.

At the start of the week, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) switches on the TV to hear a presenter singing the praises of Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) – the young man who murdered her son Seb during a hate crime attack.

Abi watches in horror as Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) is forced to reveal that Corey is playing for his prison football team. Having watched the documentary, painting Corey as a hero, Abi is incandescent.

After Abi and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) call at the TV company, they later check the Gazette website and take comfort from all the supportive comments, and the fact a petition about scrapping the documentary surrounding Corey has been created.

Later, Dean – a drug dealer from Abi’s past – calls at the garage and says he needs her help.

When Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) then approaches her, he tells Abi he has some shocking news.

Towards the end of the week, Abi is horrified to see the sex video of her has been uploaded to other websites. Assuming Dean is responsible, Abi confronts him with a wrench in hand.

Dean insists he has no idea what she’s talking about, but a furious Abi of course doesn’t believe him.

As Dean is taken in for questioning, Abi learns that four more videos have been uploaded. But as she studies the footage, Abi realises it’s not actually her – they’re all deepfakes.

But will Abi find out who was responsible for creating these?

Elsewhere, in the café, Nina tells Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) that she’s concerned for Roy Cropper (David Neilson) because he won’t speak to anyone or leave his cell.

There’s a breakthrough for him later in the week, however, as Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) suggests they start a book club while he’s in prison.

Roy feels pleased to have something to look forward to, but is completely oblivious to the man making his way back into the Weatherfield prison.

Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron).

Griff was the leader of a far-right gang, responsible for manipulating Max Turner (Paddy Bever) into joining.

As Max started hanging out with the group, he eventually met Lauren, who was spending time with the men due to her dad Reece being a member.

Now Griff is back, does this put Roy in even more trouble?
