Horrifying scenes as Coronation Street favourite is brutally attacked with a brick
Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) is to be viciously attacked whilst looking for evidence to find Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) in Coronation Street.
The Speed Daal chef will have a nasty altercation with a homeless man that he believes may hold the key to Lauren’s location after she suspiciously went missing two months ago.
The troubled teen had turned to creating adult content on subscription site O-Vidz to help pay for her rising energy bills.
Following demanding phone calls from a mysterious, unknown boyfriend, and losing her job at Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) café she seemingly vanished into thin air.
To make matters worse, kind-hearted Roy then did a good deed and cleaned her precinct flat, accidentally disposing of evidence which has landed himself in the frame for her apparent murder.
Since then he’s fallen victim to vile abuse from strangers who have branded him a ‘creepy perv’ and thrown a brick through the window of his infamous eatery.

In a further twist, he was then targeted by far right extremist friends of Lauren’s dad who cornered him behind the counter.
In the last week, his niece Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) has received a number of prank phone calls to the caff’s pay phone.
This is only set to continue in upcoming scenes as she makes it clear to Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) that they must still pick up the calls as Roy is hoping Lauren’s mum will reach out.
After reading disgusting comments about his friend online, Stu tells girlfriend Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) and her granddaughter Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that he intends to clear Roy’s name as he knows what it’s like to be wrongly accused.
Stu previously spent 27 years locked up for the murder of a colleague when it was in fact his daughter who had committed the crime.
At the precinct, he chats with a homeless man and asks him if he’s seen Lauren.
Pulling out his wallet, the man picks up a brick and attacks him.
Back at the restaurant, Yasmeen is shocked to see his bloodied face and learn that he was mugged.
Meanwhile, Roy is devastated to hear that his late wife Hayley’s son Christian has launched a tirade against him across social media.
