Huge breakthrough for Roy as Coronation Street favourite returns with information about ‘dead’ Lauren
Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) heads back to Coronation Street soon with some huge information regarding Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.
We first met Nicky when she was working as a sex worker. She developed a complicated relationship with Daniel (Rob Mallard), who was grieving after the death of his wife Sinead.
Most recently, we saw Nicky again when Daniel met up with her at the precinct.
He asked her if she knew anything about Lauren earning money through sex work, but neither realised Max (Paddy Bever) saw them talking and was busy sending footage of the duo to DS Swain (Vicky Myers).
Coming up, Bobby (Jack Carroll), Max, Bethany (Lucy Fallon) and Beth (Lisa George) arrive at the precinct to watch the police reconstruction of Lauren’s last known movements.
When Bethany spots a crowd of people up ahead, she is horrified to realise Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) – the man who abused and groomed her – is within the group.
Back at home, Bethany updates Daniel on the matter but he says it’s her mind playing tricks, because Nathan is definitely in prison.
Their chat is interrupted thanks to the arrival of Nicky.
She reveals she’s off to meet a young woman called Ellie who was groomed as a teenager and might have information about Lauren.
But if Ellie opens up to Nicky with news about Lauren, how will this impact the case?
Could this be the catalyst to Roy (David Neilson) eventually being released?
