Inside real-life Coronation Street couple Charlie de Melo and Georgia Taylor’s romance
Coronation Street stars Charlie de Melo and Georgia Taylor continue to leave our hearts full with their social media pictures documenting their romance.
Charlie portrayed the role of Imran Habeeb in the ITV soap, while Georgia plays Corrie icon Toyah Battersby.
They fuelled romance rumours back in February of last year, after it was reported that Georgia had split from her partner Mark Letheren.
They’re an iconic couple, so we thought it was high-time to take a look at their life together so far.
Charlie and Georgia worked together for years in Coronation Street. Prior to Charlie’s exit, Imran and Toyah’s storyline focused on the couple becoming foster parents, as well as the reveal Imran is the father of Abi’s (Sally Carman) baby following their one-night stand.
As Toyah spiralled, she confronted Imran during a drive, but things took a devastating turn when Toyah ended up smashing their car into a wall, with the injuries being enough to cause Imran’s death.
Since his departure, Charlie has gone on to appear in theatre shows but most recently, he worked alongside David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Neil Patrick Harris for the Doctor Who episode titled The Giggle.
Charlie played Charles Banerjee, the assistant John Logie Baird during the invention of television.
While Charlie and Georgia keep their romance relatively quiet, they do enjoy sharing pictures online from holidays and days out together.
In October, Georgia posted a variety of snaps from her holiday in Northern Ireland with Charlie, with the pictures including the couple at the Titanic Belfast visitor experience, enjoying pints of Guinness and good craic, and taking in the beautiful Northern Irish landscape.
Travelling is something the couple clearly enjoy. Over the past few months, Georgia and Charlie have also shared images visiting Sorrento, Scotland and the capital for a Blur gig.
They also enjoy sharing cute messages on each other’s social media posts. In February, Charlie uploaded some iconic snaps of his dog Toni in Manchester.
‘Toni’s Manchester Holidays’, he wrote alongside, while Georgia commented and said ‘The goodest of girls 😍’.
