Coronation Street aired a double arrest twist this evening as the investigations continue into the disappearance and potential death of Lauren Bolton as all is set to be revealed
Coronation Street aired a shocking double arrest twist this evening.
Tonight’s episode of the ITV soap aired the same day as yesterday – but this time it was focused on Carla Connor and Bobby Donovan’s view of that day. Whilst Sarah Platt had been busy trying to get evil Nathan Curtis arrested to protect her daughter Bethany Platt, Carla and Bobby were doing their best to try and stay out of DS Swain’s way.
Whilst Sarah tried to plant Lauren’s hair bobble in Nathan’s van so he could be arrested, his van was later searched by police officer Kit, who found something in the van which led to him being arrested.
Nathan was arrested for breaching his sexual harm prevention order, whilst there was a second arrest later on in the episode when Bobby found himself arrested by police for perverting the course of justice after it was revealed he had fabricated his story about seeing a man in a coat leaving Lauren’s flat on the night that she had disappeared.

It still remains to be seen what happened to Lauren and whether she is alive or not. When Nathan made his return, actor Chris Harper teased Nathan could be responsible for Lauren’s disappearance and potential death.
“All the signs are there – the similarities in Lauren’s behaviour before she disappeared, her vulnerability, all really ring bells with what Bethany went through. It wasn’t so long ago that Bethany was at a petrol station on a motorway about to be smuggled over to Europe, so we know that Nathan’s ruthless and things could have been even worse for Bethany,” he teased, “I think if you watch that slippery slope, you recognise the behaviour. It could definitely be Nathan who’s been involved in one way or another.”
At one point, Bobby was actually a suspect too – with some fans convinced his interest in the case was too much. He was seeing Lauren at the time of her disappearance, but she pushed him away when he spotted the bruises on her shoulder.
Terrified on what he might find out, things fizzled out between the pair and soon Lauren went missing. We know she had a secret boyfriend – and it’s assumed it isn’t Bobby – but could he actually be the mystery man?
