ITV Coronation Street fans ‘rumble’ death twist as soap issues missing Lauren Bolton update

Coronation Street issued more updates about Lauren Bolton’s sudden disappearance on Monday night.

Only recently, the troubled youngster abruptly left the cobbles and love interest Bobby has been left concerned after he found her flat unlocked with Lauren nowhere to be seen after her earlier claims she was going to flee Weatherfield.

Soap fans never saw Lauren leave and it seems she told no one close to her of her plan aside Roy Cropper given she immediately vanished. During Monday’s episode, a concerned Bobby called at Lauren’s flat again to find no answer to which he headed to the police station to report her missing. PC Craig Tinker promised to make some enquiries, which he later called at the café to investigate Lauren’s last known movements.

Later, Bobby was left unconvinced as Roy explained how he caught Lauren going through Bethany’s bag and he had to let her go, revealing when he called round with her wages, she was talking about moving away to start a new life. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers are worried Bobby could be killed as he continues to investigate Lauren’s disappearance, especially after actor Jack Carroll revealed his character will be in a “blockbuster” storyline.

One person said: “Whoever’s got Lauren will kill Bobby I can sense it #Corrie”, a different account said: “I truly think Lauren got kidnapped #Corrie” while another added: “#Corrie so who’s kidnapped Lauren…” It comes as Lauren actress Cait Fitton teased what was ahead to The Mirror. Cait said fans could expect Lauren to face “obstacles”, and that her “shocking” secret will leave her in “a lot of danger” in upcoming scenes.

She said: “There’s a lot of danger there. She’s a vulnerable 18 year-old-girl so she’s bound to make mistakes, but she’s still young. It’s a shock for Lauren because she blurts out [her secret] to Max, but Sabrina as well, and she’s not that close to Sabrina so it’s quite complicated.

“Even though she can’t accept it herself she’s expecting other people to, which is interesting to play but there will be a lot of danger ahead. I can’t reveal too much but it’s a very exciting storyline. Corrie always do an amazing job smashing all their serious storylines, so all I can say is stay tuned.”
