ITV Coronation Street fans ‘rumble’ Max Turner twist after spotting Joel Deering detail

Coronation Street fans think they have ‘rumbled’ a worrying Max Turner twist.

Only recently, Joel Deering was revealed to be Lauren Bolton’s killer in a huge twist. Roy Cropper had initially been wrongly arrested, charged and the number one suspect for the supposed murder of missing teenager Lauren. However, DS Lisa Swain and newcomer Kit thought they had cracked the case as they arrested abuser Nathan Curtis, who previously made Bethany Platt’s life a living misery and was recently released from prison.

As they interrogated Nathan in the prison cell with Joel acting as his solicitor, a graphic flashback played as it looked like it was Nathan but later in the episode it was revealed in a shock twist that Joel was in fact Lauren’s killer. So far, Joel has managed to escape justice and the cobbles’ residents are oblivious to his evil ways.

Only recently, Joel picked a new victim after he spotted Max’s on-off girlfriend Sabrina in a state of distress outside the police station and learnt that her brother had been arrested. Joel handed her his business card and told her to give him a call. On Monday’s episode, Joel conveniently bumped into Sabrina in the precinct, where they both had a coffee.

Joel then tempted Sabrina with alcohol as he poured some into her coffee and pretended to pour some into his cup but he didn’t. In a creepy twist, Joel told Sabrina she reminded him of an ex, adding that he was “punching” with his ex, leaving the young girl flattered. However, later on, Sabrina’s mate headed over and pointed out Joel was a creep, warning she should steer clear.

Later in the episode, Sabrina’s mate decided to confront Joel, where she blackmailed the evil solicitor, warning she has a “big gob” and would expose his creepy behaviour. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers spotted that Joel seems to be targeting Max’s exes as the latter has dated both Lauren and Sabrina. Fearing that Sabrina could be Joel’s next victim, soap watchers are wondering whether Max could be framed.

One person said: “First Lauren goes missing Now Sabrina Max will be number one suspect #Corrie”, a different account put: “Joel is after Max’s girlfriend now. This’ll get spicy! Max will freak out! #Corrie” while a different viewer added: “Max wont be too happy… what is it with Joel and Max’s girlfriends #Corrie.”
