ITV Coronation Street work out link between Lauren and mysterious Ellie as whereabouts ‘revealed’
Coronation Street aired some big scenes tonight as Lauren Bolton's disappearance and potential murder was reconstructed whilst Nicky Wheatley made some headway with her own investigations
Coronation Street reconstructed Lauren Bolton’s disappearance tonight – as fans are convinced they know who killed her.
Lauren went missing back in February earlier this year, with her having been presumed dead by the police. DS Swain – who is leading the investigation into Lauren’s apparent death – said she was convinced Lauren was dead after spotting a likely murder weapon in the flat. She said blood and human tissue was found on an item from the flat and she had been hit over the head.
At the time, DS Swain confirmed that a leg from a broken chair had been found, and this was covered in blood too. Officers are convinced someone attacked and killed Lauren with the chair leg by hitting her over the head – but is this what happened?
Tonight, the police organised a reconstruction of Lauren’s final movements in the hope to get more information about what happened from the general public – but Bethany was rattled when she noticed her evil ex Nathan Curtis there.
Elsewhere, Nicky Wheatley made contact with a girl called Ellie, who she thinks might have more information about where Lauren might be or what might have happened to her. All the while, Roy Cropper is currently in prison awaiting trial.
Giving their new theories, one fan wrote: “That girl knows what’s happened to Lauren 100%. #Corrie,” whilst a second added: “#Corrie Bethany is a nosy nellie. She may have ruined any chance of finding out about Lauren..” A third shared: “A BIG mess-up by Bethany but I sense that girl knows something about Lauren or Nathan #Corrie.”
Before she went missing, Cait Fitton warned that Lauren was in real trouble. She shared exclusively with The Mirror: “There’s a lot of danger there. She’s a vulnerable 18 year-old-girl so she’s bound to make mistakes, but she’s still young. It’s a shock for Lauren because she blurts out [her secret] to Max, but Sabrina as well, and she’s not that close to Sabrina so it’s quite complicated.
“Even though she can’t accept it herself she’s expecting other people to, which is interesting to play but there will be a lot of danger ahead. I can’t reveal too much but it’s a very exciting storyline. Corrie always do an amazing job smashing all their serious storylines, so all I can say is stay tuned. Lauren lacks a lot of self-confidence and self-love, which is why she’s doing a lot of what she’s doing. Things didn’t work out with Max, she lives next to Sabrina, there’s still that barrier up between them.”
