ITV Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ where Lauren really is after eerie scene

Coronation Street teen Lauren Bolton’s sudden disappearance has sparked concern on the ITV soap.

But viewers think they know where Cait Fitton’s character might be and what happened to her, after her appearing to abruptly leave the Cobbles. Her love interest Bobby had found her flat unlocked, with Lauren nowhere to be seen after her earlier claims she was going to flee the street.

We didn’t actually see Lauren leave though, and it seems she told no one close to her of her plan asides Roy Cropper given she immediately vanished. It’s been teased there is danger ahead for the character, amid her opening up to Bethany Platt about her life with a far-right group for a magazine article.

Now, Bethany is receiving sinister threats over text message with people keen to stop the article being written. Amidst this, Lauren appeared to vanish on Wednesday night without saying her goodbyes.

Surely if Lauren had simply taken some time away, she would have told Bobby or Max where she was heading? Instead, Bobby confided in Max that he snuck into her flat only to find she wasn’t there, and he was unable to get into contact with her.

Spoilers for next week reveal that she remains missing next week, sparking concern with her close friends. But where is Lauren and has something happened to her?

Viewers certainly believed so, questioning whether she had been kidnapped and was being held hostage by her mystery ex. Taking to X, one fan posted: “Damn. The bloke assaulting Lauren kidnapped her?”

Another said: “I think someone has abducted Lauren,” as a third wrote: “Reckon Lauren’s dodgy mystery man has taken her.” A fourth viewer tweeted: “Has Lauren been kidnapped by the boyfriend ??” as a fifth said: “WHERE IS LAUREN?! DID HER EX KIDNAP HER?! IS SHE OKAY?”

It comes as Lauren actress Cait teased what was ahead to The Mirror. Cait said fans could expect Lauren to face “obstacles”, and that her “shocking” secret will leave her in “a lot of danger” in upcoming scenes.

She said: “There’s a lot of danger there. She’s a vulnerable 18 year-old-girl so she’s bound to make mistakes, but she’s still young. It’s a shock for Lauren because she blurts out [her secret] to Max, but Sabrina as well, and she’s not that close to Sabrina so it’s quite complicated.

“Even though she can’t accept it herself she’s expecting other people to, which is interesting to play but there will be a lot of danger ahead. I can’t reveal too much but it’s a very exciting storyline. Corrie always do an amazing job smashing all their serious storylines, so all I can say is stay tuned.”
