Harvey is currently in prison for the death of Natasha Blakeman, who was murdered in 2021 after she was accidentally shot by Harvey, who mistook her for Leanne Battersby. Harvey had escaped from prison and returned to the cobbles to seek revenge on Leanne after she got him arrested for his work as a drug lord.
However, in a tragic case of mistaken identity, Harvey accidentally shot Natasha, thinking it was Leanne, as they were both wearing the same Halloween costume. After Natasha’s death, her young son, Sam Blakeman, visited Harvey in prison, asking about his motives in a bid to move on from his mother’s demise.
Harvey was last seen in 2022 but with the arrival of his enemy brother, Damon, on the cobbles, Adam has teamed up with the criminal in a bid to get rid of Damon once and for all. In upcoming scenes, Adam is left emotional as Sarah suggests it is time they discuss their divorce after being urged by Damon.
Adam insists to Sarah that he wants the flat sold as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once his family home. Later, Adam visits Harvey and runs through his grounds for appeal. During the meeting, Adam explains that the only way to be sure of success is if they can pin Natasha’s murder on someone else.
After the meeting, Harvey calls Adam, telling him a man called John Perry is willing to confess to Natasha’s murder. Later, Adam tracks down John to Weatherfield General and is horrified to realise he’s a cancer patient. Later in the week, Sarah tells Adam that she is happy to sell the flat as she and Damon are going to buy a house with a garden, leaving the solicitor seething. Following Sarah’s bombshell, Adam goes over John’s confession on the way to the police station. Will they go through with the plan and could Harvey be released?
