Coronation Street’s Joel Deering will find himself exposed by fiancé Dee-Dee Bailey next week after a big mistake.
Soap fans will recall that Joel is hiding a big secret in the form of Lauren Bolton. Lauren made a shock comeback last month as Cait Fitton reprised her role. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive.
And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, where Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell. Joel has been hiding Lauren in an empty flat and is still secretly visiting her as he attempts to get her move to Ireland sorted.
However, on Friday night, in evil and disgusting scenes, Joel drugged pregnant Lauren with pills that would bring on an early labour, resulting in her being rushed to hospital. In scenes this week, Lauren is terrified as her prematurely born son lies in an incubator as she fears whether he will survive.

And next week it appears Joel could be rumbled once and for all as his fiancé Dee-Dee spots an unusual detail. The solicitor notices a notification on Joel’s laptop asking him to rate his experience at Belfast Airport. Confused, Dee-Dee quizzes her husband-to-be about it. Panicked, Joel makes out he was meant to go for work but it got cancelled but is Dee-Dee onto him?
Later in the week, Dee-Dee hands Joel’s ex-wife Emily a fairy charm for his daughter Maeve’s bracelet, suggesting she might like to be a flower girl at their wedding. However, when Emily reveals that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet and warns her to be careful as Joel’s still paying rent on his old flat, Dee-Dee’s confused.
Returning home and seeing Joel’s briefcase she opens it and finds a set of keys. Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel’s flat and searches the cupboards, convinced he’s having an affair. Will she find more than she bargained for and how will Joel cover his tracks?
