Lauren Bolton makes a huge revelation about the father of her baby in Coronation Street
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) recently gave birth to a baby boy in Coronation Street, and best friend Max Turner (Paddy Bever) was keen to find out who the father was.
With Lauren having previously told DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) that Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) had been responsible for the attack that led to her disappearance, the detective believed that he was the father of her baby.
However, viewers will know that the true culprit was solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who groomed Lauren and is the real father of her baby.
Joel is determined to keep his involvement under wraps, and even went so far as to drug Lauren with pills that induce early labour.
Fortunately, baby Frankie survived the premature birth, and is currently being cared for in the hospital.
In tonight’s episode, Max encouraged Lauren to go for lunch with him, in a bid to get her out of the hospital for a couple of hours.
Lauren reluctantly agreed, but was rattled when Joel also arrived at the Bistro with Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).
During their meal, Max asked Lauren about Nathan being Frankie’s dad, and in a shocking turn of events, Lauren admitted that he wasn’t.
Max didn’t push any further, but their conversation didn’t go unnoticed by Joel, who later paid Lauren a visit at the hospital, demanding to know what they had been discussing.
Lauren explained everything, pointing out that he wasn’t the only one who was good at lying.
Will Lauren continue to keep Joel’s secret, or will she ever reveal the truth?
