Lauren Bolton’s mystery boyfriend in Coronation Street ‘confirmed’ as fans ‘work out’ his identity
Coronation Street fans everywhere have been desperate to know the secret identity of Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) mystery boyfriend, and many think they may have worked it out.
We first discovered that Lauren had a mystery boyfriend several weeks ago, when she began suddenly buying extravagant gifts for her friends, before eventually admitting that the money was coming from her new man.
As Lauren kept making excuses over why her boyfriend was never around, her friends grew suspicious, and even considered that she may be making him up.
After a row, Lauren ended things with him over the phone, but it has since become clear that he isn’t prepared to give up.Recent scenes saw Lauren receive an impressive bouquet from him, though she wasn’t impressed, and called him demanding that he leave her alone.
However, she was left totally shocked when she opened the door to find the mystery man stood on her doorstep.
But who exactly is he? Viewers are desperate to know, and have seemingly mixed opinions over who it might be, giving strong arguments for a number of possibilities.
Tommy Orpington
Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) arrived back on Coronation Street on Christmas Day, looking to buy last minute flowers for his Mrs. We’re not ones to judge, but we can see why this relationship hasn’t lasted…
Coronation Street fans on Twitter/X were quick to point out that Tommy spends a lot of time in the florists, which could explain the impressive bouquet Lauren recently received.
He is also a former footballer, which suggests he may have money to be throwing in her direction.
However, he is currently in the middle of an affair with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), which makes us wonder how likely it is that he would be Lauren’s mystery man.
Rob Donovan
Since the arrival of Rob Donovan’s son Bobby (Jack Carroll) late last year, fans have been desperate to see Rob return too.
But could he be back as Lauren’s secret boyfriend?
It would certainly cause drama, given Lauren and Bobby’s current relationship, but there is one issue: Rob is in prison.
However, he has broken out once before, and there is nothing to stop him doing it again – this is Corrie, after all!
