Lauren Bolton’s shock secret revealed in Coronation Street bombshell
The wayward teen is struggling to stick to the straight and narrow.
VIEWERS have feared for Lauren Bolton’s safety as she was said to have a mystery boyfriend she has refused to introduce.
But next week in Coronation Street, the teen played by Cait Fitton finally reveals her secret – and it’s a shock for her pals.
After getting involved with the wrong crowd when she was initially introduced to ITV viewers, Lauren Bolton is desperately trying to get her act together.
However, doing so alone and without the presence of her parents to support her, Lauren has been struggling, thus relying on the encouragements of her friends in Weatherfield and Daniel Osbourne (portrayed by Rob Mallard).
Although she is trying her best to stick to the straight and narrow, it’s clear that Lauren is still encountering some issues next week.
In recent weeks, viewers of the Manchester-based program and residents of the cobbles have been concerned for her well-being as she revealed she had a mystery boyfriend.
But when it boiled down to her introducing her new beau, Lauren made a string of excuses, hinting she could be in serious danger.
Coming up next week, Daniel tells Lauren he’s impressed with her work and she’s ready to sit her GCSE.
Unfortunately, there’s another obstacle in Lauren’s way and she’s gutted to see the exam registration fee is £148.
Later on, a downbeat Lauren tells Bobby Donovan (Jack Carroll) that all the set books she needs to revise for her exam are already out on loan from the library.
Luckily for her, Bobby is harbouring romantic feelings for Lauren and he decides to throw her a bone by handing Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) the list of texts, hoping she can track some down at the charity shop.
In other scenes, Bobby makes his feelings clear and gives Lauren a small bunch of flowers while she works at the café.
Sadly, a delivery man enters with a huge posh bouquet, prompting an embarrassed Bobby to realise he’s got competition.
Lauren thanks Bobby for the flowers, but when her phone rings, a gutted Bobby assumes she’s spoken for.
Meanwhile, Lauren tells the caller to leave her alone – who could it be?
Later on, Lauren then reads a final demand from her energy company before making a call and spelling out to the person on the other end that she doesn’t need their money and wants nothing more to do with them.
Bobby’s delighted when Lauren accepts his offer of a date.
Yet when Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) call at Lauren’s flat to find her sexily dressed, she drops a bombshell on them.
Lauren reluctantly reveals that she makes videos for O-Vidz, much like Ryan Connor did before her following his acid attacks.
How will Max and Sabrina react?
Will Lauren really give Bobby a chance?
Who really is Lauren’s mystery caller?
Could she be in danger?
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
