LEANNE Battersby’s cult horror takes a disturbing twist as she is rushed to hospital.
In Coronation Street, the long-running character has been terrorized by Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper), but it is about to get a whole lot worse.
Her horrified sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor) is set to receive a delivery of yellow roses to the Bistro.
She explains the significance to Leanne’s partner Nick (Ben Price) and concludes that the sender has to be the cult leader.
After she is reported to the police by the head of the self-improvement institute, Toyah confronts her sister.
She shows her the roses and the card before Leanne (Jane Danson) admits that she was the one who told Rowan about her circumstances, and the loss of her stillborn baby when she was a teenager.
Incensed on Toyah’s behalf, Nick returns home to give his fiancee an ultimatum, that she either cuts ties with the Institute or he will break up with her.
In response, Leanne reassured Nick that she would never cheat on him.
But her words leave him feeling guilty after he shared a kiss with Toyah, something they mutually agree was a mistake and would not happen again.
Later, Rowan shows up with his motorbike, complete with a spare helmet for Leanne as a surprise for her.
She follows him out the door, meaning Nick and Toyah have to pick up the extra lunchtime business at the Bistro without help.
Both of them are left absolutely fuming, but Rowan whisks Leanne away to a secret hotel restaurant.
Via a video call, he introduces her to Willow, the CEO of his depraved institute.
He then tells Leanne that she will soon be able to recruit members to the organisation herself.
But later, Toyah receives a shocking call and rushes to A&E, where she is told that Leanne has been involved in a motorbike accident.
Will she be OK? And what will Rowan do next?
