Coronation Street recently revealed that Joel Deering (Calum Lill) has been murdered, but viewers are going to have to wait a while to find out exactly whodunnit.
In a fun twist to the genre, Corrie is set to explore the truth behind Joel’s death through a series of flashbacks, which will ultimately show viewers exactly who killed him.
Viewers recently discovered that his body had washed up in a river, and the post-mortem revealed that there was no water in his lungs, meaning that he was dead before he entered the river.
But who is responsible?
As Metro’s own investigation has already proven, there are set to be a number of people in the frame for Joel’s murder, with the first official suspects being revealed this week.
Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) is set to fall under suspicion when his satnav gets him into trouble, while Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) is forced to explain why he was spotted with a possible murder weapon.
The first of many stylised flashbacks over the coming weeks is set to air tomorrow, as we get a first glimpse at the night of Joel’s murder.
As more suspects enter the frame, they are set to be added to Corrie’s own crime wall photo – but will they have space for everyone?
Joel certainly wasn’t the most liked character after his many misdemeanours, and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has his work cut out for him as he attempts to bring the right person to justice.
However, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is also on a mission of her own to get to the truth, despite having been removed from the case.
How long will it take them to get to the bottom of this mystery, and find out whodunnit?
