Sarah Platt in danger as Damon Hay makes an evil deal in Coronation Street
The Weatherfield thug is desperate to protect Sarah - but could his efforts be in vain?
KEEN to start afresh with Damon Hay, Sarah Platt is hoping to have a quiet, drama and danger-free life.
Unfortunately for the Coronation Street favourite, her beau makes other plans as he’s forced to agree to a life of crime.
Damon Hay (portrayed by Ciarán Griffiths) returned to the ITV cobbles earlier this year as he was determined to patch things up with former lover Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
But upon his return, Damon was just as eager to make Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) pay for tearing him away from Sarah after setting Niall loose on him.
The criminal set up a devious murder plan to finally get rid of Sarah’s estranged husband however, the love rivals now have a common goal – to protect the Underworld PA from Harvey Gaskell.
Harvey (Will Mellor) recently tried to have Sarah killed but Adam stood in the way and, despite being incarcerated, he has managed to pull the strings on Damon’s side.
Although he turned away from a life of crime out of love for Sarah, Damon has been brought back into the fold by Harvey who made it clear he’d only stay away if his half-brother took care of a robbery for him.
With his hands tied, another goal has reached the top of Damon’s priority list and it involves making sure Sarah never finds out what he’s up to.
Unfortunately, this puts her straight into the firing line.
Coming up next week, a blissfully unaware Sarah returns from viewing a house as she gets ready to leave her Redbank apartment to start a new life with Damon.
Sarah is over the moon as she admits the property she has seen is her dream home and Damon promises that he’ll do what he can to raise the money.
Sadly, Harvey dampens the mood with a phone call from prison during which he gives Damon his instructions for his part in the robbery.
Damon lies to Sarah and tells her that he won’t be able to make her son Harry’s party tomorrow as he’s seeing a new client who could prove very lucrative.
Will Sarah believe him?
Could she figure out what he’s really up to?
How would she react if she did?
