Sean Tully makes chilling discovery about son Dylan’s bullying in Coronation Street
Liam Connor's bullying ordeal takes another turn next week.
DYLAN Wilson has been sticking to Mason Radcliffe despite his poor treatment of fellow Weatherfield lad Liam Connor.
After refusing to believe his son was involved, Coronation Street legend Sean Tully makes a discovery that leaves him shaken.
The Underworld machinist played by Antony Cotton has been adamant that his son Dylan had nothing to do with Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) bullying torment.
This, as mentioned above, was despite Dylan’s clear bond with Liam’s bully, Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), who was first introduced to ITV viewers last year.
However, in scenes airing next week, Sean is forced to admit that Dylan isn’t as innocent as he’d been hoping after he makes a horrifying discovery on the teen’s mobile phone.
It all starts when Mason goads Gary Windass (Mikey North), telling him that Liam needs to watch his back.
As he realises that his stepson has been relentlessly bullied by Mason, Gary sees red and throws him to the ground.
Mason is clearly in danger as Gary is known to not shy away from murder if the situation requires it, as he proved when loan shark Rick Neelan was preying on Weatherfield residents.
Sean spots the scene and quickly rushes over to separate them.
He threatens to report Gary to the police but also remains determined to clear his own son Dylan’s name.
Sean thus demands that Dylan hands over his phone but as he scrolls through the youngster’s messages, a look of horror appears on his face.
While Mason has been the main instigator of Liam’s bullying ordeal, Dylan (Liam McCheyne) refused to stand up for him.
He has also been peer pressured into taking part in the bullying.
This was despite Liam and Mason starting off as friends due to the latter’s vapes landing the lad in hospital after an asthma attack.
What will Sean do?
Could he and Gary team up to take Mason down?
While this remains to be seen, Dylan is due for his own shock as actress Jenny Platt has reprised the role of his mother, Violet Wilson, for the first time in more than a decade.
Could she be the one to make Dylan realise his part in Liam’s turmoil?
After suffering in silence for weeks, Liam decided to take matters into his own hands and, drained by the psychological weight of his ordeal, chose to end his own life.
This has left his mother Maria (Samia Longchambon) devastated, particularly as the large Connor family could see old wounds being reopened, six years after Aidan Connor’s own suicide.
But how will Mason’s reign of terror end?
Can Liam find the help he needs?
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
