A discovery made by Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) has a serious impact on her relationship with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) in Coronation Street next week.
Following Paul’s (Peter Ash) death, Gemma has struggled to move forward. Feeling overwhelmed at the loss of her twin, Gemma recently agreed to Kit’s (Jacob Roberts) idea of time away from Weatherfield.
With that, she packed a few bags and took the quads to the Peak District alongside Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove).
While the Winter family has grieved, Billy has also spiralled. Yesterday, he arrived at the pub drunk and interrupted the celebration that saw Paul’s ashes sent into space.
Just as everyone watched Paul’s ashes get released, the screen suddenly went blank. Residents then discovered Billy had pulled the plug from the laptop.
Declaring the whole thing a farce, an emotional Billy announced to the pub he had kissed Todd (Gareth Pierce) after Paul’s funeral.
As a new week begins, Bernie remains terribly worried about Billy. She puts forward the idea of welcoming Billy into the family and says it’s what Paul would’ve wanted.
Troubled by everything she learnt about Todd, Gemma storms out of the conversation, not willing to forgive Billy over the attempted kiss.
It’s very clear a black cloud still looms over the family following the devastating loss of Paul.
