CORONATION Street fans well know Colson Smith, thanks to his long career on the famous cobbles.
But it has been revealed that the actor is swapping the famous soap for the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Who is Colson Smith?
Born on August 13, 1998, Colson Smith is an actor most recognised for his role in Coronation Street.
He got the acting bug in 2009, when he began attending drama classes run by Northern Film and Drama.

Away from Corrie, and Colson competed in ITV‘s The Games.
He faced off against the likes of Wes Nelson and former co-star Ryan Thomas in the Olympics-style sports show.
Off screen, Colson has shed a whopping ten stone after deciding to overhaul his lifestyle during the Coronavirus pandemic.
He is a huge fan of running and regularly shares snaps on his social media after going for a jog
Speaking to Runner’s World UK he said: “That fat kid is the kid that I’ve looked at every day in the mirror and I still see him now.”
He added: “It’s a battle I’m probably going to carry with me for the rest of my life.”
How long has Colson Smith been on Coronation Street and who does he play?
Colson joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2011, when he was just 13-years-old.
He plays Craig Tinker on the long-running Manchester-based soap.
Over the years, viewers have seen Craig at the centre of various hard-hitting storylines, from being bullied as a schoolboy to becoming a policeman and battling OCD.
Speaking about his character’s struggle with mental health issues, Colson told the Coronation Street Blog: “It’s a really tough storyline to play but I’ve really enjoyed getting involved in the process, meeting sufferers and the charities who have supported the development of the storyline.
“It’s such an important issue to highlight, when Kate our producer told me Craig was going to have OCD I had an idea in my head of what I thought that meant but I didn’t realise the extent that it can be almost disabling to someone and the effect that it can have on somebody’s life.
“It’s a really important storyline for Corrie to do and I’m really proud to be part of it.
“Hopefully it will raise awareness and help OCD become a less stigmatised illness.”
When is Colson Smith on Celebrity Big Brother?
Fans will get to watch Colson on Celebrity Big Brother from March 4, 2024.
The Sun exclusively revealed how the actor had lengthy discussions with ITV bosses about joining the CBB line-up, and now they have their man.
A source told us: “Big Brother producers have been in talks with Colson for months and it looks like a done deal.
“They’re thrilled he’s keen to enter the nation’s most famous house because he’s a big name already loved by millions of viewers and they were hellbent on securing someone from Corrie as it’s great cross-promotion for ITV.
“Colson’s character Craig is a huge favourite with soap fans and he’s just as likeable and down to earth in real life so don’t be surprised if he ends up winning the whole thing. He’s got all the ingredients of a Celeb BB champion.”
