Coronation Street’s Aggie Bailey has not been in the ITV soap for a while after an unexplained absence.

It was eventually revealed why Aggie had left and where she was, but this was all offscreen with her family, who remain onscreen, revealing details. Actress Lorna Laidlaw hasn’t been on the show for months, last seen in June in scenes with onscreen husband Ed Bailey and neighbour Tim Metcalfe.

Since then, sad news in spoilers released recently confirmed no return was currently planned for the character. She is set to make contact on Wednesday’s episode, while it is not known if she appears on screen.

Recently, an update from the Baileys confirmed she was not returning for a while, while it’s not been ruled as a permanent exit yet. The latest spoilers for December now confirm she definitely is not returning for the time being, leaving her family gutted and leading to one character making an exit decision.
